Product Introduction
Ascorbyl palmitate has all the physiological activities of vitamin C in foods. It is a highly effective antioxidant and oxygen free radical scavenger. It is regarded as a nutritious, efficient and safe food additive by JECFA It is the only legally approved antioxidant which is allowed to be used in foods for infants and young children. It can be used in foods as an antioxidant, food (oil & fat) color-fixative and vitamin C enhancer.
Application
1.Antioxidant:Ascorbyl palmitate is ranking top among highly potent antioxidants. It helps preventing oils & fat from getting oxidated, prolonging the process of oils, fats, fish, margarine, milk, carotenoid etc. on the oxidative deterioration. It works much better than that of BHA or BHT. It has a synergy and works better when using along with other antioxidants, like Vitamin E. It helps extending the shelf life of baby dairy products as well as oil/fat rich products, such as instant noodles, chips, processed fried fish, prepared meat or meat products.
2.Color fixative: Ascorbyl palmitate can be used to protect natural pigments such as capsaicin, lycopene, carotene, lutein, etc. from getting oxidation.
3.Dietary supplement: Ascorbyl palmitate is a Vitamin C enhancer. Unlike Vitamin C, it will not cause irritation for the intestines and stomach.
4.Others: Ascorbyl palmitate can effectively prevent oxidation of the active components in the medicines and drugs. Ascorbyl palmitate can be used in dying materials, farm chemicals and medical intermediates.
